About Me

Completed Ph.D in Genetics, I joined as a post doctoral fellow in Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), India. An excellent experience for 3 years with Dr. Ramesh Agarwal's lab both professionally and personally. Later, I moved to Department of Genetics, University of Trieste, Italy, [Prof. Giorgio Graziosi's lab] where I continued to do the same work in coffee genomics and bioinformatics. Presently, I am with Todd vision dealing with integrated ecological and genetic analysis of speciation in Mimulus, particularly the genome assembly, integration of physical and genetic map.

Profession

I am now a Research Fellow in modern genomics laboratories. Expertise in basic molecular biology concerning DNA profiling and mapping using molecular markers (ISSR, AFLP, SSR, RAPD, ESTs), construction of genomic library, cloning and DNA sequencing. Proficient in in-silico genome analysis related to systematics and mapping. Expertise in data mining of biological databases and management of large datasets including development of web based graphical interface for heterogeneous datasets. Apart from my carrer info, I have recently introduced, Speaking Science with an idea to share some of the news / articles, mostly related to Biology, Genomics and basic science.
